Observation Points

Casa Velo

(1)

Leave the town via Damiano Chiesa Street and follow Casa Velo Street, which leads to the isolated hill where the manor complex of Casa Velo, dating from the fifteenth and sixteenth centuries, stands in a dominant position (it belonged to the Arnaldi counts and later to the Velo counts, who erected the family chapel accessible from the public road in the 1600s). Continue along the road at the base of the left embankment of the Guà Stream (formerly Strada Vicinale dell'Argine), where you can see the remains of a "weir" that allowed water to flow to the nearby Campagnola and its mill.

Church of St. Eusebio

(2)

Passing under the overpass, you can go see what remains of the old water mill: some abandoned millstones and the canal with the waterfall. Continuing under the embankment, after one kilometer you reach Provincial Road 500. Without going out onto the road, through a mandatory two-hundred-meter passage between the guardrail and the Fiumicello Brendola, you arrive at the "sluice gate" of the Dugale Canal. Cross the state road carefully and continue along Massina Street, which follows the southern edge of the valley of the same name. Pass the base of the first mountain ridge, continuing along country lanes. Upon reaching the foot of another ridge near Ca' Cantonà, climb it and cross a small wood, after which you will notice the church of St. Eusebio toward the valley.

Mater Divinae Gratiae Shrine

(3)

Upon reaching Castelletto, at the curious shrine of the "crosara," continue uphill (short section shared with trail no. 42 of the Sarego Caves). At a fork, turn left onto a path marked by "dry stone walls." You then arrive at a votive shrine dedicated to the Mater Divinae Gratiae. Continue left along a flat section that then descends toward the valley at the steepest gradient. Keeping left, you exit near the Fontana Coperta at the edge of the "countryside" extending around the rural complex of the Veneziana.

Veneziana Variant

(4)

(Valley Connection via Strada Vicinale del Colle) Leaving the farmhouse on the left, climb along the mountain, through country sections ascending the northern slopes of Monte Gallo: it is a beautiful route through intact coppice forest, with oaks, hornbeams, and, on the more northern slope, chestnuts, ending at the head of the Fosso del Monte Gallo.
After passing an isolated dwelling, just before reaching the main road, turn left onto a narrow path that ends in a vineyard, from which you proceed toward the hamlet.

Maso Variant

(5)

(Pleasant section of Strada Vicinale del Maso flanked by the Fosso del Monte Gallo stream) Skirting the hamlet, climb to the right along the hill, reaching the upper part of the Costa Benedetta slope.

Costa Benedetta Variant

(6)

(Open and sunny section crossing the entire ridge of the same name via Strada Vicinale del Perarolo) At the crossing of the Meledo - Grancona road, skirt eastward around a large mining site. Following the signs and orienting yourself with the map, advance through groves and clearings, reaching the old stone "Roccolo," then descend slightly, keeping left, passing through Monte del Prete and skirting in the woods a large doline well cultivated with vineyards. Upon reaching the white road, turn left heading toward the rural nucleus of Cà Lombarde. A half-kilometer section of paved road descending toward Casa Soldà is necessary to take Graone Street. Cross the well-cultivated mountain slope planted with vines and cherry trees, with excellent views of the Berico-Lessina plain and the mountain group of the Piccole Dolomiti. Just after Contrada Feo (from beech, beech grove), you will notice the large restored fountain; another spring is located along the road a little further down, while just east of Contrada Graona, at a farm, there is the last spring of this route: the Fontana Pestalaglio
Upon reaching the plain at Vanderia, head toward the town following the Fiumicello Brendola.
